• Madison County Schools Board of Education

    The five members of the Board are elected to serve 4-year terms. Two candidates are elected from each of the two districts and one for chairman at-large. Candidates are elected on a nonpartisan basis. Voters in each district vote for candidates within their respective district and for the chairman at-large. The Board of Education is committed to working toward setting and achieving goals that will improve the Madison County School System's instructional programs. The Board's goals include:

    • High Student Performance
    • Healthy Students in Safe, Orderly and Caring Schools
    • Quality Teachers, Administrators and Staff
    • Strong Family, Community and Business Support
    • Effective and Efficient Operations

    Regular Sessions are scheduled for the fourth Monday of each month. Meetings begin with a closed session at 5:00 p.m.  work session at 5:30 p.m. and the general session at 6:00 p.m.  Meetings are held at the Central Office.
