Welcome to Brush Creek Elementary School
Welcome and Thanks for Visiting our Website! On behalf of the faculty and staff, it is my pleasure to welcome to you Brush Creek Elementary School. We are excited about the year ahead and look forward to many successful and productive experiences in learning. Our goal is to work together to provide every child with the best education possible.
Brush Creek Elementary serves approximately 400 students in Kindergarten through 5th grade. I feel very fortunate to be the principal at Brush Creek Elementary and love serving the teachers, students, parents and members of the Brush Creek community.
I moved to Madison County in 1991 to attend college and loved it so much I decided to stay! I began my teaching career at Walnut Elementary School where I taught 2nd grade. I transitioned with the staff of Marshall Primary, Marshall Elementary and Walnut Elementary to open Brush Creek Elementary in January 2002. I taught 2nd grade for 14 years and then 1st grade for two years. In October 2015, I moved to Hot Springs Elementary to serve as Principal. I loved my time in Hot Springs and learned much about the responsibilities and many rewards of school administration.
When Dr. Hoffman and the MCS Board of Education asked me to come back to Brush Creek Elementary to serve as Principal, I was honored. After teaching in this community 16 of my 20 years, it feels like coming home! I am very excited for the upcoming 2019-2020 school year!
We hope that you get involved in the activities of our school and we look forward to working with you! Parents, families, and community members are such an important part of our school and our children’s education.
Please feel free to email me, email@example.com, call, or stop by the school. Each month, I will send out Brush Creek Elementary - The Bear’s News newsletters with school highlights and information. Again, thanks for visiting and Go Brush Creek Bears! #bearsmakeithappen
