Marching Band

Marshall Parade 2019
  • The Madison Marching Patriot Band is an enriching opportunity that combines the middle and high school students together in order to create a band meant for Friday night football games, parades, and marching band competitions. It is a voluntary band that is associated with after school activities. Marching Band is also an entry for participation in Color Guard. Each student is required to attend Band Camp, after school rehearsals, fundraisers, and all performances. Dates associated with Marching Band will be provided under the Calendar tab.

Signing Up

  • To sign up, students and their parent(s)/guardian(s) must fill out the marching band registration form below and submit, with fees, prior to the end of the school year with a given date to be announced. If a submission is given after the date, that student will be subjected to being a "shadow". A "shadow" is a position in which the student is not given their own spot for shows and will stand on the sidelines. "Shadows" are still able to play in the stands and march in parades. Due dates are given based on the time frame needed to create the show (marching drill and music) based on the exact number of students and instrumentation. Color Guard applicants must also complete this form for the creation of the drill.

Madison County Bands Contract

  • Below is a file provided that displays the Madison Marching registration form. The form lays out expectations, costs, rules and regulations, as well other information pertaining to the participation of Marching Band. This form is subject to change from year to year and is expected to be reread by all parent(s)/guardian(s) and students each season. By filling out and submitting the sign up form for Marching Band, the student and their parent(s)/guardian(s) are agreeing to and will adhere to the contract. Failure to meet any of these requirements can result in a student being placed as a "shadow position", year long suspension, or expulsion from the band program based on the severity.

Students participating at the High School level will have their grade linked to their Marching Band performance. This includes, but is not limited, the participation in any and all performances.
