Superintendent
Dr. Will Hoffman, Superintendent
I want to share with you how honored I am to be the new Superintendent of Madison County Schools. I am coming home to Madison County from Tyrrell County in eastern North Carolina where I served as superintendent for the past three years. I look forward to the opportunity to work closely with the faculty and staff of each of our schools so that we can continue to deliver the best education possible for our students. I have always held a strong belief in the positive role public education plays in the lives our students. I have a profound respect for the Board of Education, our administrative team, and our faculty and staff. I am driven by a commitment to safety, academic excellence, community service and the critical role our schools play in the life of our community.
I would like to invite families and community members to be a part of our school system and the success of our students. Our educational community is only made stronger by the active participation of our stakeholders in school activities, service opportunities, volunteerism, beautification efforts and fund raising. Madison County Schools has an outstanding team of educators who care deeply about the success and well-being of our students. Please reach out to your child’s teacher or principal this year, be engaged and be informed about the progress of your child. The exciting work of education requires collaboration, communication, and supportive relationships.
In my first year as Superintendent I will be dedicated to listening to members of the Madison County Schools community. Please know that my door will always be open as we build relationships and continue to establish a trusting and caring environment in each of our schools.
My primary goals for the first year are:
Ensure high levels of achievement for each child.
Listen to and involve community stakeholders.
Promote district wide improvement.
Please see below the Vision statement for Madison County Schools which provides an important focus for our district, and a reminder of the role we all play in the daily lives of our students.
Vision: “Students of the Madison County School system will have meaningful experiences and valuable academic preparation to ensure a brighter future.”
