Fresh Fruits and Vegetables

The mission of Madison County Schools School Nutrition Services is to operate a financially sound, employee and customer-oriented program, that provides nutritious meals to customers, giving them a variety of choices, and serving them in a clean and cheerful atmosphere so that they will learn to make healthy choices for a lifetime.

Child Nutrition Services of Madison County Schools provides food service for six schools, two day care centers, five Head Start classrooms, and two after school care centers, as well as catering for special functions and working with school groups for concessions and other food related events.

The Madison County Schools School Nutrition program purchases locally produced fruits and vegetables when they are available to use in our school meals.  We also support the Let's Move and the NFL's Play 60 initiatives to promote healthier lifestyles for children and to keep them active.
