• Madison County Schools Board of Education

    The five members of the Board are elected to serve 4-year terms. Two candidates are elected from each of the two districts and one for chairman at-large. Candidates are elected on a nonpartisan basis. Voters in each district vote for candidates within their respective district and for the chairman at-large. The Board of Education is committed to working toward setting and achieving goals that will improve the Madison County School System's instructional programs. The Board's goals include:

    • Strong Family, Community and Business Support
    • Effective and Efficient Operations

    Regular Sessions are scheduled for the fourth Monday of each month. Meetings begin with a closed session at 5:00 p.m. and the general session at 7:00 p.m. Meetings rotate among the school sites and Central Office.

    Work Sessions are scheduled for the second Monday of each month, and are held at the Central Office. These meetings begin at 6:00 p.m.

    Some monthly meetings are combined due to school and holiday schedules.
