Elementary Schools Celebrate Read Across America Day

March 2, 2022 was Read Across America Day.  This day occurs each year on the birthday of children’s book author, Dr. Seuss. This week elementary schools celebrated their love for reading with many special activities. Students and staff dressed up as their favorite book character and had a parade around school hallways.   Madison County Public Libraries hosted our second grade students with special activities.  Mr. Moon, Mascot of Asheville Tourists, visited the kindergarteners at Mars Hill Elementary and read a favorite book to the students.  Thank you to the Madison County Public Libraries and the Asheville Tourists Mascot, Mr. Moon, for celebrating the love of reading with our students.
