Dr. Will Hoffman is the Superintendent of the Year 2023-2024 Western Region

Congratulations to Dr. Hoffman on being selected Region 8 Superintendent of the Year!

Dr. Hoffman was recognized last night by Dr. Jan Webster of WRESA (Western Region Education Service Alliance) and Mrs. Karen Blevins, School Board Chair.  Dr. Hoffman is now one of 8 Superintendents advancing to the last phase in the selection process that names the next Superintendent of the Year in North Carolina!

Dr. Hoffman has spent his entire career in public education and exemplifies servant leadership.  He has had many roles such as a bus driver, teacher, principal, curriculum director, federal programs director, central office administrator, and currently our superintendent.

His passion for public education is evident on a daily basis.  The initiatives he brings to our district have positively impacted countless students, educators, and families.  The clear vision that has been established by Dr. Hoffman, "Making it Happen", has transformed challenges into opportunities and led to successful outcomes in every capacity.

Mahatma Gandhi wrote, "The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others".  Dr. Hoffman embodies servant leadership and emulates it to the future leaders of this district.   His dedication and impact extend far beyond the walls of any school building.

When you see Dr. Hoffman in your school this week, please extend a warm congratulations on this accomplishment!

We are looking forward to the possibility that the next Superintendent of the Year in NC will be from Madison County!
