Governor Roy Cooper announced on September 17, 2020 an executive order that with local Board of Education approval, allows kindergarten through fifth grade students to return to school under Plan A

September 28, 2020 the Board of Education voted unanimously  to Re-open (K-5) Schools under Plan A and continue (6 – 12/13) Schools under Plan B, adhering to the following schedules effective Monday, October 5, 2020 .



Virtual Academy Students-No Change in Schedule.

Governor Roy Cooper asked all North Carolina school systems to design three options (Plans A, B, and C) for a return to school this Fall.  MCS is sharing this summary document so families can see what Plans A, B, and C will generally look like for our school system. **The Governor announced on July 14th that North Carolina schools will use Plan B to begin the school year on August 17.  Please click the link below to learn details about what Plan B looks like for Madison County Schools. We will continue to refine important details for each plan. We also understand you have questions, and we will try to answer them to the best of our ability.  We encourage you to talk with your child’s principal about your questions.
